Greetings Terrans, and may your next orbit of Sol be pleasant and fruitful. I have another bit of progress to report on my growing Eldar army – as promised, I used the holiday to crank out small group of RTB06 Harlequins. I have been holding on to these guys since the late 80’s, so good to finally get them painted properly! I found the sculpts to be pretty decent for the most part – quite delicate and complicated for the period, though a few do have badly misaligned faces, (on the vertical axis front-to-back due to mould slip), though luckily you can’t really see that unless you are looking head on. Paint-wise I treated each as an individual as per the original concept of Eldar Harlequins, rather than the more uniformed approach used by modern studio painters. Here they are, front and back:

And a final group shot:

And that’s it for this post, time to get stuck in to the Aspect Warriors. Stay tuned!
Fantastic bunch of Harlequin’s Alex, great bold color choices on them.
Cheers mate, certainly eye-catching!! 😂
Quintessential Eldar! Love ’em mate!
Oooh, I do love a ‘quintessential’ in my comment – cheers dude, made my day! 😁
great work, i love ’em.
Cheers matey 🤘😊
I like how there is some colour relation between them that still pulls them together. I have a soft spot for these minis, my older brother got them when I was a pre teen and I remember him struggling to figure out how to paint them. He was so jazzed about how cool the minis were and wanted to do a worthy paint job.
Cheers mate, yeah, I think you’re right, despite the differences there are enough stylistic touches to loosely unite them. Totally get where your brother was coming from – they are really quite intimidating minis to paint! Glad you like ‘em mate 😊
