Greetings Terrans, I hope you are well. It has been a slow couple of weeks on this project – busy weekends mostly taking up any paint time, but I managed to do a bit here & there to get the last of the 6 OG Aspect Warriors finished – the mighty Fire Dragons:

I’m quite happy with these guys – Orange isn’t a super easy colour to work with, but they came out pretty much ok I think. The yellow works well with the general flame vibe, while the purple & bone help to add some contrast, as do the green gems. All in all, a satisfying finish to my Aspect Warriors.
As this completes the set, I can finally put an example of all six together – something I have been wanting to do since I was seventeen! This photo has been a long time coming :-)

Taste the Rainbow!
So that’s all for now folks, and I just have a few character models undercoated and ready to complete for this project – 3 Exarchs and a Warlock! Lovely :-)
Excellent work Alex, they tie well with both their aspect and your craftworld, and nice to see a group shot of all the aspects together.
Cheers dude, pretty neat eh? I’m chuffed to bits mate :-)
Great work on these mate – the purple of their Helms works surprisingly well!
Cheers dude, there’s got to be a knob gag in there somewhere eh? 😂
I was also going to make this joke so I’m glad that you’d already thought of it!
😉
Your eldar make me want to paint eldar and I never ever thought id say such a thing hehe. Great work Alex
Cheers dude – it’s all the pretty colours isn’t it 🤭
Hehe it is. Like a moth to a flame, or a bee to a flower
Amazing! The bright yellow shoulder pads on those Fire Dragons really makes them pop. And I love that team photo at the end of all the aspects together. The version of me, from 1993 or so, who idolised all those Jes Goodwin sculpts in White Dwarf is in awe of you.
Aw, thanks dude – it was a very satisfying photo to take ☺️
Those are superb mate and the line-up at the end is just lovely. Unlike that dirty elf-hater IRO I do sometimes dream of an Eldar army and you’re making it harder and harder to resist!
Cheers mate, yeah, this is something I’ve been meaning to do basically since I fell into the hobby all those yeas ago… I figured I’ve got to make these things happen while I still have eyes good enough to do the models justice!
I hear ya. We’re of a similar age and I guess starting to look at things in a similar way. I’ve been doing a mental exercise of asking myself, “if next year I was told I’m allergic to brushes and I can’t paint any more, what would I wish I’d got finished now?”. It’s been good to focus on those projects that I’ve been meaning to work on ‘someday’ since forever.
