Greetings Terrans, I have another short post for you today – again, this is showing off some minis that were finished incidentally to my Fembruary efforts… Remember this lil’ lady?

.
She’s from the Grymwatch warband for Warhammer Underworlds, and I couldn’t very well leave the rest of them in the box, so they got the same treatment:

I’m not a fan of all the daft bits that AoS Ghouls seem to be obsessed with these days, so I trimmed all the guff off & sculpted on some rudimentary clothes. There’s a bit of subtle reposing in places, and the dude with the massive bone-club had his weapon replaced for something a bit more reasonably proportioned. The only mini that had no work done was the stupid pair of bats… I mean really, there ain’t much you can do with them is there? Here they are in smaller groups:

.
I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out – I didn’t have anything in mind other than to have that female mini for my RPG campaign, so to end up with the whole lot done is a bonus. I doubt I’ll ever get to play Underworlds, but if I do, I have a warband ready to roll.
Love these guys and they look suitably horrific!
Cheers Matt, glad you like ‘em – I certainly like them better with the cartoony horror vibe turned down a bit 😊
Hey mate these are good, now I know why IRO talks so highly of you! looking forward to seeing more of your grand work.
Wow, cheers mate, what a kind thing to say! You know IRO is mad though, right? 😂
Of course mate ! Most of us are in Auss 😉
😂
Ha ha!🤓
Sorry that’s “speaks” silly me Ha Ha! I’s been a long day painting the temple!
Very nicely done Alex. I’m always impressed by conversion work and even more so when a bit of sculpting is thrown into the mix as well. Very goulish paint job indeed and certainly put me off walking through graveyards at night! 😱🙂
Cheers mate, I’m happy with these, & yeah, I suppose I’m getting more comfortable with putty in hand these days… I might even have a sculpting surprise for you all next post… 🤫
Great looking warband Alex, your modifications to the models have made them look so much better !
Cheers mate, I’m not a fan of overly fussy models 😊
Very ghoulishly done Alex! I see what you mean about the bats though, they are a bit cartoonish aren’t they, Lovely painting though.
Cheers Roger.
Cheers mate, and yeah, they are what they are I suppose! I can’t imagine them ever being used but I couldn’t not do them 😂
Looking good mate – you’re really getting the knack of adding clothes to the otherwise fashionably underdressed. To my eye it makes these ghouls even creepier.
Cheers dude, I think it helps to make them less cartoonish… perhaps that makes them more serious? Either way, I like ‘em better like this 😊👍
Eeek! Everything is as scary as great! Cool job!
Cheers dude, I’m happy with that assessment :-)
Those are great- really like them.
Cheers,
Pete.
Thanks mate 👍
They turned out very nice. I haven’t seen them out of the box, but I definitely like them how they are now.
Cheers dude – they are ok out of the box, the stock paint jobs are technically excellent, but the minis are just too fussy for my taste with all the bone piercings… I prefer things a bit more lowbrow & grungy 😉
