Greetings Terrans, I have more progress to share on my Mordion project – my first tank (ok, APC) for this army!

I used a 1/35 Tamiya M113 as a Rhino-esque proxy – it’s about right in terms of footprint, but it is a little tall… Still, I think it looks the part & I’ve left it alone other than changing the pintle weapon for a heavy something from the OohRa sprue.
I painted it with the grey same urban camo as the troops themselves, weathered it a bit & stencilled on a few markings here and there. Nothing too fancy – I still have 4 more to do & I genuinely don’t enjoy painting tanks!

That’s all for now folks, more of the sane for the next while 😫
That has a perfect Rhino look to it, but unique from it as well, size wise it looks perfect as well. Great patterning, weathering, and markings makes for a very effective piece overall, and a group of these will be excellent.
Cheers mate – not my favourite thing to paint but I am pleased with how it came out – just got to roll my sleeves up and psint the rest!
that looks great, good size, looks just right with the gang in front of it. nice one.
Cheers mate 😊
you are going to do a big setup at the end to emulate the drawing? The progress is very exciting .
whats the plate on the front? I thought a hatch at first…but no. Stand off armour?
That would be fun, wouldn’t it? I don’t think I have the camera or space for that unfortunately 😂
That plate is for when the M113 goes amphibious – I just thought it looked quirky and cool 😊
Nice work. That looks great. a 1/48 version might be better size wise, but unfortunately no such kit exists!
Yeah, I did look for 1/48 – you can get 3D prints, but I think it might come up a bit skinny and short? Bigger is better, so I hear 😊
I think it sizes up perfectly with the infantry mate and the scheme is spot on. Get what you’re saying about painting vehicles though, not as much fun as painting figs. Saying that, you do it well!
Cheers Dai, deffo not as much fun – not sure why really! Glad it looks alright though mate, gives me motivation to crack on
Looking good. The size is spot on; I always felt that Rhinos looked a bit cramped to take 10 fully armoured Space Marines so this thing carrying around 10 of your Imperial Guard feels much more manageable.
Cheers mate – it’s positively luxurious compared to a standard Rhino ☺️
I like it! It takes the ugly/industrial look of the rhino up a notch (in a good way), perfect for the mass-produced vehicles of the Imperial Guard.
It’s pretty close eh? 😊
