Greetings Terrans, and Happy February! I’ve got a bunch of Eldar goodies to share today, starting with Thatcher’s least favorite Aspect, the Striking Scorpions:

These guys were really nice to paint with a pretty classic colour scheme looking as fresh now as it did in the 90s.
I also painted this conversion:

This is a solitary member of a homebrew Aspect shrine, the ‘Silent Headsmen’ or Shaedra-Torrith. I envisage this shrine as being a rare offshoot of the Striking Scorpions that revel in the hunt and the claiming of trophy skulls… Painted in gritty tones, with an attempt at some OSL, this guy is intended to be used as a Predator analogue in a planned ‘Tyranid Pyramid’ game in the summer – basically Aliens v Predator v Colonial Marines in 40k. Should be amazeballs if it happens!
Finally, I have a couple of Howling Banshees – I love these minis, and I think adding purple to the colour scheme works particularly well. One of them had her hand butchered by a younger me, so a bit of surgery and a weapon swap was required:

So, that’s me halfway through my stash of Aspect Warriors – time for a group shot?

Lovely :-)
Anyhoo, that’s all for this post, I hope you’ve enjoyed this wee update. Hawks on the table next – the Aspect that are most intimidating from a painting perspective… Wish me luck!
Excellent work on all Alex, classic color schemes with a personal aspect, which makes them fantastic, and really like your Predator Aspect warrior awesome conversion.
Thanks dude, I’m pretty happy with him too. The sword pops a bit more irl vs the photo, so he looks even better in-hand 😊
These all look great but that Predator themed model is amazing!
Thanks mate – looking forward to playing a game with him all suped up!! I bet he dies immediately 😂
Yes that’s how the dice work!
😂
fantastic, make me want to do some old school eldar!
Cheers mate – they are fun!
Great stuff!
Cheers mate 😊
All very nice! :-) I really like those Striking Scorpions!
Cheers mate, they were pretty nice to paint – it’s a lovely shade of green to play with!
Ohhh the silent headsman is my cup of tea. Great work all round though Alex
Cheers mate, yeah, nice to have at least 1 mini in the army that isn’t all sleek and shiny 😉
Superb! The conversion is great, the scorpions are my favourite aspect shrine (so always get a thumbs up from me) and the purple works really well on the banshees.
Cheers dude, I am pleased with that bone/purple/yellow combo 😊
I take it that the rest of the banshee squad is still to come?
nah, just painting what I have mate – I play more Rogue Trader than 2nd ed so much less structured
Very wise, although I’d love to see more of them in that scheme. :-)
Excellent once again mate, love the Predator vibe on the conversation 👍
cheers Roger
Cheers mate, he’s fun 🤘😋
Terrific as always, and I always enjoy a good dig at the Milk Snatcher. The converted Exarch / Predator is especially cool.
If I might be so bold as to make a request, you should take a photo of them all in action next time you get together with a pal for some Rogue Trader.
Cheers mate, and sure thing! I’ll be taking them to BOYL this year 🤘😁
