Realm of Warcry; Chapter 1, part 11

Greetings Terrans, more Tzeentchy stuff to share today – 5 shiny new Blue Horrors to add to one that I painted around this time last year. As before, the duplicates have been converted a bit to add variety. First up, 2 pairs from the Silver Tower set:

.

Plus a pair from the Eyes of the Nine warband (the one with the sceptre was painted last year):

.

I leaned into the whole ‘made of magic’ thing & painted my Horrors with a metallic effect, mixing in bits of purple and green with the blue to give some variety. Honestly, I’m really happy with how they came out, and I’m looking forward to trying the same approach with their bigger, pinker, equivalent!

As with the Brimstone Horrors, I don’t really have a use for these guys, but they were fun to paint, and at least count towards completing the Silver Tower set, (better late than never I suppose!).

Here’s a shot of the lot & of them posing with Skynir:

That’s all for now folks, I’ll be a bit tied up next week but I’ll try and get the Pinks done before I go :-)

Realm of Warcry Interlude

Greetings Terrans, just a very quick one today, and a bit of a random thing. My mate Mark, (from Heresyofus), recently 3D printed a nice little Warcry dice tray, but branded it especially for my lil’ ‘Realm of Warcry’ project. I fancied a quick and easy paint job, so seemed like a good thing to do over a few relaxed hours. I went for a quartered design, with each corner representing one of the big four Chaos powers:

Obviously crusty green for Nurgle, and gory red for Khorne. Tzeentch gets the sparkly blue corner, and Slaanesh is represented in purple. For the record, the blobs in the purple corner are meant to be gems, but yes, I know they look like bodily fluids… I should probably paint over them, but hey, it’s Slaanesh.

Anyway, that’s about it for this week – nice and quick :-)

Realm of Warcry; Chapter 1, part 10

Greetings Terrans, quite a quick post today – just a few ‘Brimstone Horrors’ painted up quickly. They are the lowest ranked of the Tzeentch Daemon stable, and they will be loosely affiliated to my Tzeentch Warband. That said, I am not that excited about including Daemons in Warcry, so really this is just a case of getting these done to complete the Silver Tower set.

The first two pairs are from the Silver Tower set, while the last pair are duplicates from the Eyes of the Nine warband:

.

They were pretty undemanding to paint – just messing about with yellow, orange and red Contrast paints really! They aren’t anything amazing, but they will do. Here they are as a group, and with Scynir.

.

That’s all for this post – more Daemons of Tzeentch on the way!
