Hello chaps, just wanted to share some WIP shots of some Scions and a bit of background fluff that that I am putting together.

I have a bit of a problem with my Praetorians, and that is lack of flyers in the 215^th… of course, I can go and get some Valks etc. but I just don’t see them fitting in with the theme that I have going on. Some allies were needed, and the answer was obvious when I picked up the Tempestus Scions codex – Air Formation!!! Now, I do like the Scion models a lot, but they are a bit limited in terms of pose and look, and I wanted to do something a little different with them. I personally thought that the armour looked really medieval, especially that gothic looking light thingy on the left shoulder, so I wondered how they would look with a knightly helm… A quick order with Puppets War and hey presto:

I really liked how they turned out, and got to thinking about how they would look great teamed up with an Imperial Knight or three. My imagination started chugging away, and to cut a long story short, I had a go at creating some background fluff, heraldry etc. to describe the military organisation of a knight world of my own devising… I mean, they must have troops other than knights, right? The plan is to build a 3-Knight army with supporting Scion air formation, both as a stand-alone army and to give me some really cool ally options for my Praetorians. I also have options for some more medieval looking guard units if I fancy it! This is very much a long-term plan, but here is an example of a completed scion to give you an idea of the heraldry I will be using:
